02Brief

Executive snapshot

Commercial plumbing & HVAC contractor founded 2014, serving North County San Diego with a heavy book of municipal and multifamily work. Estimated $2.4M revenue, 14 employees, currently expanding fleet from 12 to 15 service trucks [2][4].

Top banking opportunity: Fleet expansion + recent $1.1M Oceanside Unified contract win signals working-capital and equipment-financing demand inside the next 90 days.
Banking angles · verified
  • Fleet growth from 12→15 trucks announced Q1 2026 — equipment financing fit [4]
  • $1.1M five-year Oceanside Unified School District plumbing contract awarded March 2026 — A/R financing potential while working through the work [5]
  • Operating from a leased 8,200 sq ft facility on Faraday — owner-occupied real-estate refi candidate when lease comes up Dec 2027 [1]
Decision makers
Mark Westridge, Founder & CEO [3] — 12-year operator, master plumbing license #C36-987XXX, primary signer on prior SBA 7(a).
Sarah Chen, CFO [3] — joined Q3 2024 from a regional HVAC firm; previously ran banking relationship at a competitor — knows the product.
Discovery questions
  1. "You picked up the Oceanside contract — how is the receivables timing trending? Most district contracts pay net-45 to net-60."
  2. "With the 3 new trucks coming, are you leasing or financing the chassis?"
  3. "Your current 7(a) was originated in 2022 at 8.75% — would lower fixed monthly payments help right now, or are you optimizing for cash on hand?"

FAQ

Common questions

How does Curter find SBA 7(a) loan prospects?

Curter searches across roughly 920,000 U.S. SBA 7(a) borrowers from public loan data plus the open web. You describe the borrower you want — industry, geography, revenue band, loan criteria — and Discover returns verified candidates, each with a cited "why this matches" line. You can also upload your own Excel pipeline and have Curter research every row.

Prospecting by hand instead? We wrote up the manual playbook too: how to find SBA 7(a) loan prospects.

What counts as a brief?

One business researched and written up as one polished HTML page. Whether the candidate comes from Discover, an Excel row you uploaded, or a single-business research request, each finished page is one brief against your monthly allowance.

Research that doesn't reach a finished brief — e.g., a Discover search that returns candidates you haven't picked yet — doesn't count.

What if I need more than 15 briefs in a month?

Keep going. Briefs past the 15 included in your Solo plan are billed at $3 each at the end of the cycle. No tier upgrade required, no upfront commitment.

Teams get a pooled allowance of 75 briefs/month across the whole workspace before any overage starts.

How does the Teams allowance pool?

The Teams plan is a flat $249/month. Five seats are included, and the whole team draws from a single shared pool of 75 briefs/month. Any teammate can use the pool until it's exhausted, then briefs past 75 bill at $3 each.

If you want a teammate to have full access but NOT generate overage charges for the workspace, the owner can disable overage billing for that teammate on the Org page. The teammate keeps writing briefs; you just don't get billed for the overage they create.

What's in the 14-day trial?

Full Solo or Teams functionality with no usage cap during the trial window. A card is required at sign-up so the rollover is seamless, but it isn't charged until day 15. Cancel anytime during the trial at no cost.

Can I switch between Solo and Teams later?

Yes. Invite a teammate from the Org page and the plan converts to Teams; remove all teammates and you're back on Solo. Billing prorates in both directions on the next cycle.

How accurate is it — can I trust the briefs?

Every factual claim in a brief links to the public source it came from — click any citation to verify it yourself. Curter is built to never assert a fact it can't cite, so you can stand behind anything in the brief on a call or with credit.

How do I sign up?

Any lender can sign up — no invite or approval needed. Click Get started, sign in with your work email (magic link, no password), and start the 14-day free trial. A card is required at signup so the rollover is seamless, but it isn't charged until day 15, and you can cancel anytime during the trial at no cost.

Your next booked loan starts with a sharper first call.

Curt scrubs your prospects and briefs them before you dial — so you lead the conversation instead of catching up. Start free; 15 briefs included on your trial.
